6th Annual Family Friendly & Diversity Awards (2005)

For companies to succeed in today's economic environment, employers must hire and retain diverse workforces and provide a workplace that offers a balance with work/life issues. On October 14, 2005, the Evansville-Area Human Resource Association in conjunction with the Workforce Investment Board, The Chamber of Commerce of Southwest Indiana and Fifth Third Bank presented the Sixth Annual Family Friendly and Diversity Practices Awards and Seminar. The awards honored and recognized companies within the Tri-State area that are leaders in developing a workplace that embraces diversity and family friendly practices and to share and promote best practices within our community.

The full-day seminar offered attendees the opportunity to learn more about family friendly and diversity initiatives and to share best practices. Local organizations that provide services and/or products that support family friendly/diversity initiatives were available to meet with attendees at a vendor fair.

The EHRA would like to congratulate the companies that received an award or were nominated for their leadership in providing diverse and family-friendly work environments.
