Robiaun Charles is the Assistant to the President and Director of
Diversity Initiatives at the University of Evansville in Evansville,
Indiana. Prior to assuming this newly created position in June 2006,
Ms. Charles was the Director of Annual Giving and Development Services
at the University of Evansville and the director of development and
major gifts for Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C. Other
past professional experience includes employment with United Cerebral
Palsy of Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Charles earned a master of public administration degree from
Georgia State University, a bachelor of arts in philosophy from Rollins
College, and a certificate in international cultural study from Tver
State University in Russia. Her civic involvement includes commitments
to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, United Way of Southwestern Indiana,
Visiting Nurses Association, Neighborhood Educational Enrichment
Development Site, Evansville Celebration of Diversity Lecture Series,
United Negro College Fund of Southwestern Indiana, Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority, Inc. and the Junior League of Evansville. |
