President of McKendree College in Louisville, KY
Head of McKendree’s Spanish Institute Dr. Glenn Rodriguez
is Dean of the McKendree College Kentucky Campuses. He has served
as a director in various functions for Union Carbide, Orr Safety
Corporation, and most recently as Director of International Operations
for Papa John’s International.
Dr. Rodriguez also serves on Louisville Metro government’s
Civil Service Review Board, under an appointment by Mayor Jerry Abramson.
He also acts as Chairman of the McKendree College Center for Business
Excellence and Director of the McKendree College Spanish Institute.
His complete bilingualism in Spanish and English has allowed
him to consult, train and speak in local environments at different
levels of an organization in Spanish. Utilizing his language, culture
and business experience, he has established strategic business alliances
and partnerships in Mexico and the Caribbean for U.S. distributors
thus allowing them to expand their markets.
Dr. Rodriguez has consulted to the Kentucky Export Commission,
assisted former Governor Paul Patton on a trade mission to Mexico,
and was a panelist and speaker at the Governor’s Latin America
Business Forum. He has lectured in Spanish in Mexico, Venezuela,
and Costa Rica on US Labor Laws, OSHA, and Hazardous Material Operations.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from
the University of Puerto Rico, a Masters of Business Administration
from Marshall University, and a PhD in Education Leadership and Organization
Development from the University of Louisville.
